Snow storm kills 4 as temperatures plunge in US

  • Four people died after a snow storm hit areas on Tuesday, November 18, near Buffalo city in upstate New York. Temperatures plunged to freezing or record-low temperatures all across the US, which is unusual for November, media reports say.

Many motorists were reported stranded in New York state, with several meters of snow covering the roads.

Of the reported deaths, three suffered heart attacks and one met with a road mishap, officials said.

Though snow storms are not uncommon in the region, this is being described as among the worst in recent years.
