Skyscraper in London is melting cars
September 3 , 2013
A new skyscraper in London has been acting like a massive magnifying glass by melting cars parked in close proximity to it.
A man's jaguar was damaged after it was left parked for two hours near the building, which is still under construction. The vehicle sustained $1,470 in damage since parts of it including a wing mirror got distorted.
The man found a note from a construction company on his windshield saying "your car's been buckled, could you give us a call?"
Last week, another car had been damaged and a bottle of soda inside it had melted as well. The 37-story building's developers said they are now looking into the matter and the city "has agreed to suspend three parking bays in the area which may be affected".
