November 1 , 2015
Egyptian authorities have dismissed claims by the Islamic State militant group that it shot down Russian airliner Kogalymavia Airbus A-321 over the Sinai peninsula, killing all 224 passengers and crew on board.
Egypt’s prime minister and civil aviation minister said the crash was most likely caused by a technical fault.
However, at least three airliners, Emirates, Lufthansa and Air France, have decided not to fly over Sinai till more information about the crash is available.
