Sierra Leone: Mudslides kill hundreds of people

Huge mudslides close to Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, have supposedly killed hundreds of people. The President of Sierra Leone has in a public address described how grief has gripped this West African country following the spate of deaths resulting from this natural disaster. The capital city has been pelted with rain and early on in August 14 the landslides have basically swept through Freetown’s outskirts. The estimation of death has come from various aid agencies and government officials. According to an International Committee of the Red Cross in Sierra Leone spokesman authorities have recovered 205 dead bodies so far.
