January 20 , 2015
Armed Shia Houthi rebels in Yemen’s capital Sanaa surrounded the residence of the prime minister on Monday amid clashes that killed at least eight people, reports said.
The fighting has been described as the deadliest since the rebels and the presidency agreed to a truce in September.
Clashes were reported between the rebels and members of the presidential guard on Monday morning, January 19, followed by an exchange of fire for several hours.
Reports indicate that some sort of temporary truce was reached later in the day.
