A massive clean-up effort is being carried out in Brisbane after an unusually strong storm hit south-eastern Queensland in Australia on Thursday, November 27, according to media reports.
The storm, which was accompanied by large hailstones, caused heavy damage as commuters were stranded and thousands of households left without power.
Officials said this was the worst storm to strike the area in three decades.
Railway services had to be suspended throughout Brisbane. At least 12 people were reported to be injured due to the storm.
