Several international flights to and from Israel suspended

  • Many international flights to and from Israel have been halted indefinitely over security concerns.

The international carriers that have suspended flights include Delta, which had to divert a Tel Aviv-bound plane with 273 passengers on board to Paris.

The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) then halted all American flights to and from Israel. Air France and KLM followed suit.

Meanwhile, as the battle in Gaza continues, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said it was his “hope and belief” that an end to hostilities may be “very near.”
