Seven policemen gunned down in anti-vaccination attack in Pakistan

  • Eight gunmen on motorcycles gunned down seven Pakistani policemen in Karachi. Of these, three were guarding polio workers. According to media reports, gunmen opened fire on a group of three guards. Later they fired at a van with four officers. Vaccination is opposed by the Islamist militants on the grounds that it is a conspiracy of the West to sterilize Pakistani children.
