Serbia accuses UN of selective justice
March 26 , 2016
The war crimes tribunal of UN has been accused of selective justice over war crimes by Serbian authorities. The charge made by the international body came in lieu of conviction of Radovar Karadzic a former Bosnian Serb politician. He was convicted in 10 out of 11 charges which led to him being handed a 40 year sentence. He is accused of crimes against humanity, genocide and also for the role he played in the Srebrenica massacre in July 1995. Russia in support of Serbia has opined against the judgement. Russian authorities mentioned that it is one of the harshest verdicts by the International Criminal Tribunal with a one sided approach, as it solely charges the Serbs for the Yugoslav civil war.
