Senate fails to pass the bill, US shutdown Begins

  • The US is going to witness its first shutdown since the year 2013 after the Senate has failed to agree on a new budget. Many government services are going to be closed until a budget is agreed. The previous shut down lasted for 16 days in which many federal employees had to take unintentional leaves. This time, the government could have been opened for four weeks if the required number of votes (sixty more votes) were obtained.
