Scottish referendum: Miliband was forced to abandon walkabout
September 17 , 2014
Labour leader Ed Miliband was verbally abused on Tuesday, September 16, by pro-independence supporters during an abandoned walkabout in Edinburgh as leaders from both sides made last-ditch efforts to gather more supporters ahead of Thursday’s Scottish referendum.
Miliband said in case of a ‘no’ vote, greater powers for a "stronger" Scotland and “NHS funding” were “guaranteed.”
The last few days before the referendum have seen heated debates between the two sides over NHS funding and UK’s future constitution.
