Scottish Referendum Independence Bill Put on Hold by Sturgeon
June 28 , 2017
Nicola Sturgeon has put the referendum independence bill of Scotland on hold for the time being. In this regard she has also announced a reset of her proposed timetable. The first minister had originally planned the independence referendum to be held in the autumn of 2018 or spring of 2019. However she has now said that she would be delaying the plan in order to introduce legislation on this issue. She has stated though that there is still a good chance that the referendum would be held by 2021.
