Saudi Arabia's King Salman pledges continuity

  • Saudi Arabia's new King Salman has promised continuity shortly after he took over the throne following the death of King Abdullah, his half-brother.

    King Abdullah, who died after being hospitalized for a lung infection, was buried in a grave in Riyadh after Friday prayers and an austere ceremony.  

    King Salman, who has already appointed new ministers and heirs, indicated in a televised speech that he would continue following the “correct policies” of his predecessors.
