Saudi Arabia's King Salman cuts short French holiday
August 3 , 2015
Saudi Arabia’s King Salman cut short his controversial holiday in France and flew with his entourage to Morocco. The closing of a beach at Vallauris for the king’s security had made many locals unhappy, with over 100,000 people signing a petition against the move.
King Salman was due to stay on the French Riviera for three weeks, but he left after eight days. However, a Saudi official was quoted as saying that his departure was not connected to media reports about the visit.
