Saudi Arabia Using Social Media Platform to Re-establish its Image
October 14 , 2019
Saudi Arabia took to social media to re-establish its image after completing a year of brutal murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. It has hired social media influencers, including some Australians, for the task. Further, the country has also employed Public Relations (PR) companies. Influencers are seeing 'chauffeured' around in helicopters, staying in larger than life resorts, scuba diving etc and putting them up on social media. However, the UN authorities says that these posts nowhere mentions 'beheading', 'crucifixions', 'bombing' which are the prime concerns inside the country of Saudi Arabia on a humanitarian level.
