Saudi Arabia Admits Jamal Khashoggi's Death for First Time

  • After being under tremendous pressure internationally, Saudi Arabia is finally yielding and has admitted that the missing journalist Jamal Khashoggi is dead. The new statement is getting viewed with widespread skepticism. The Middle-eastern country, which earlier firmly expressed its ignorance about his whereabouts, states that a 'rogue operation' resulted in his death. The country's foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir has dubbed the incident as a mistake, but, however, has denied the involvement of prince in the murder.

Khashoggi was last seen on 2 October when he visited Istanbul's Saudi consulate to collect paperwork that would allow him to marry his fiancee.
