Sailors rescued from remote Pacific island
April 10 , 2016
The US navy rescued three sailors stranded on an uninhabited Pacific island of Fanadic in Micronesia after their vessel had capsized. They had left from the island of Pulp days ago. The men were stranded on the island for three days and were rescued after a crew aboard a US navy plane spotted them. The sailors used palm leaf to spell “HELP” to attract attention. The vessel had capsized as a result of the large waves and they had to swim through the night before they reached the island.
