    March 3, 2017: Jeff Sessions, Attorney General, has rescued himself from an FBI inquiry into the alleged interference of Russia in the US elections. Sessions took the step due to pressure from both the Republicans and the Democrats. The Attorney General claimed that he had not lied when he testified at his confirmation hearing in January that he had no communication with the Russians. However, the Democrats are demanding his resignation after its was revealed that Sessions had a meeting with the Russian envoy during the 2016 presidential race.

    Russia's Interference in 2016 US Elections to be Investigated

    March 2, 2017: As per reports, a US congressional committee is going to carry out an investigation into Russia's alleged interference in the 2016 US elections. The contacts between presidential campaign of Donald Trump and Moscow will be scrutinized.

    It has been confirmed by the Justice department that the new Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Russia's ambassador had conversations during the presidential campaign.

    Russia's intervention in the US election is being looked into by the FBI and the Senate intelligence committee.
