Russia's 'humanitarian aid' to Ukraine alarms west

  • Around 280 trucks from Russia — carrying “humanitarian aid” according to the Putin regime — are heading to Ukraine, according to media reports.

Western countries are, however, far from convinced and believe that the so-called aid could well be an excuse to invade Ukraine, where the pro-Russian rebels are on the backfoot against government troops.

Tens of thousands of Russian troops have amassed at the border with Ukraine. According to Nato there is a “high probability” that Russia could send its military into east Ukraine.
