Russia slams UN report

  • A Russian minister has referred to the UN's report on the chemical weapons used in Syria as "one sided and biased". He has, however said the report has "material evidence" proving the fact that the chemical weapons were used by Syrian rebels.

As mentioned by western governments, the report hasn't accused any party of using the deadly chemical weapons but has instead only pointed fingers.

President Obama said "when you look at the details of the evidence they present- it is inconceivable that anybody other than the regime used it."

According to experts, the report points to a powerful government base in Syria. However, foreign minister Sergei Ryabkov said Russia will examine the use of other chemical weapons prior to the Syrian attack on Aug. 21.

It looks like UN is doing the same; the inspectors are being sent back for further investigations soon enough.
