Roadside Bomb Kills 4 and Injures 11 in Egypt, Police Kills 40 Terrorists in Retaliation

  • Egypt’s Prosecutor-General Nabil Sadek said on Friday that a roadside bomb struck a tourist bus near the world-famous Giza pyramids killing at least 3 Vietnamese tourists along with an Egyptian tour guide. Over 11 people are injured due to the incident. Till now no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The roadside bomb attack led to a quick response from the Egyptian government. Multiple raids were carried out across the country. Interior ministry has said in a statement that 40 militants have been killed by the police in the Giza and North Sinai region on Saturday morning. The statement also said that a series of attacks were planned by the terrorists on churches, tourists, and military personnel of Egypt.
