    World witnessed a spectacular and colorful opening ceremony of Olympic Games 2016 at Rio's Maracana stadium as it celebrated Brazil’s natural beauty, culture, and history. Vanderlei de Lima, former marathon runner, lit the Olympic cauldron, marking the official opening of the Rio Olympics. Most recognizable celebrity of Brazil and football legend, Pele, pulled himself out of the opening gala just hours before it started because of poor “physical condition”. After facing doping scandal recently, 279 Russian athletes out of 389 have been allowed to participate in Rio Olympics 2016. IOC president, Thomas Bach, welcomed refugee team by calling them “an enrichment of our unity in diversity”.
