Report finds 60 Per Cent Britons Want to Retain EU Membership after Brexit
July 2 , 2017
London School of Economics led research has found out that 6 out of 10 Britons want to keep their European Union citizenship even after Brexit. Some are even prepared to pay large sums of money to retain their EU citizenship along with rights to live, work, study and travel in the European Union. The trend is strongest among 18- to 24 year olds. 85 per cent of this age group want to retain both their British and EU citizenship. The finding is believed to mount additional pressure on British PM Theresa May on her plans for a “hard Brexit”.
