Ulighur separatists are being blamed for the recent knife attack in China that killed 33 people. The media isn't downplaying the incident and referring to it as being the country's 9/11.
The authorities are looking for at least five more attackers after having four of them dead and one captured. "A nationwide outrage has been stirred," the local media reported. "Justice needs to be done and terrorists should be punished with iron fists."
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack but the a small number of Ulighurs are being questioned. "We could not tell if the assailants were Ulighurs as they were all dressed in black," one Ulighur man said. "We did not like the attack either."
