Rebels hand over black boxes to Malaysians
July 22 , 2014
Flight recorders from the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 that crashed in eastern Ukraine have been handed over to a Malaysian delegation in the rebel-controlled city of Donetsk.
The Malaysians were given the two black boxes during a press conference called by the rebel leader Alexander Borodai on the 11th floor of a building occupied by the pro-Russian fighters. Borodai insisted that the rebels had nothing to do with the shooting down of the plane.
Meanwhile, a train carrying the bodies of 282 victims of the doomed passenger flight began its journey out of the conflict zone.
