Racist killing in Charlottesville condemned by Trump
August 15 , 2017
Donald Trump, the President of the US (POTUS), has condemned an incident of racially motivated violence at Charlottesville in Virginia where a protester was killed on August 12. He has told reporters that racism is evil and described people who lead to such acts of crime as being thugs and criminals. He has also named groups such as Ku-Klux Klan, white supremacists, and Neo-Nazis as being against every value held dear by common Americans. Interestingly enough, the POTUS faced flak for not denouncing these extremists specifically during his earlier statements on this incident.
