Questions surface over fuel used in Virgin Galactic plane
November 3 , 2014
Questions have surfaced over the fuel propulsion system of SpaceShipTwo (SS2), the Virgin Galactic space craft that crashed over California’s Mojave desert, killing one co-pilot on Friday, October 31, according to media reports.
The company had been warned about the unpredictability of the new fuel used.
Virgin Galactic said in a statement that safety was always a prime concern in its space ventures “and any suggestion to the contrary is categorically untrue.”
Meanwhile, more than a dozen investigators have started examining the crash site.
