Qatar made little progress on improving rights of migrant workers: Amnesty
May 21 , 2015
Qatar has not made much progress in improving the rights of migrant workers as the country witnesses a construction boom in the run-up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, according to Amnesty International.
The rights body says that while there has been limited progress in some areas, in others it is non-existent.
Qatar claims that major changes would be put in place by the end of 2015.
Meanwhile, tournament sponsors Coca-Cola and Visa have expressed concerns over migrant rights issues.
