Putin and Obama disagree on Syria
September 7 , 2013
Vladimir Putin and Barack Obama had a one-on-one meeting, which gave them a change to have a "constructive" conversation and hash out their disagreements on the military strike on Syria.
Obama described their conversation to be candid in addition to being constructive and Putin referred to it as being "substantial and constructive." The Russian President also said "we do not agree with those arguments, but still we can hear them." He mentioned that they all understood each other.
Obama also meet with the President of China, Xi Jingping and the two leaders disagreed in the same manner.
Xi told him that the only right way out of the situation is a political solution. He said a military strike "cannot solve the problem from the root."
Obama is scheduled to address the American people on Tuesday.
