PTV back on air after protesters removed from offices

The national television channel of Pakistan was back on air after anti-government protesters were removed by security forces from PTV’s Islamabad headquarters, according to media reports.
Protesters, mostly followers of cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan and cleric Tahirul Qadri, and police clashed elsewhere in the city. Several policemen were injured in the violence.
The protesters are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Large groups of protesters were seen moving towards important government buildings, including the prime minister’s house.
