Protests in Mexico over missing students
October 9 , 2014
There have been protests in various Mexican cities against the disappearance of dozens of students in Iguala, a southern town.
After a clash with the police, the students were last seen being put into police vehicles. A search operation has not produced any results, but the discovery of fresh graves near the town has fueled speculation that the bodies could be those of the missing students.
Though Mexico is no stranger to street violence and criminal gangs, the country has been shocked by the incident as it involves so many young people.
