Prisoner escapes facility to visit dentist
December 4 , 2013
A 51-year-old Swedish prisoner broke out of a minimally secured facility to "go to the dentist," officials said."
Reports suggest that the prisoner turned himself in after getting himself treated. He was scheduled to be released the next day but "couldn't stand" the toothache anymore.
The man said he had been complaining to the officials inside the prison about his swollen face for four days and finally had to escape. It's hard to say if this has been the most strange prison break-out since a yoga master reportedly used his flexibility to escape a prison cell in Korea back in 2012. Moreover, an American distinguished himself as a woman and escaped a Mexico prison in 1975.
The prisoner's one-month-long sentence was extended by only a day.
