Pressure on Putin as anger over crash mounts
July 20 , 2014
Leaders of several nations are putting immense pressure on Russian president Vladimir Putin to help international teams get access to the Malaysia Airlines crash site in east Ukraine in order to recover bodies and carry out an independent probe.
Uncertainty continues to prevail on the ground, with pro-Russian rebel fighters not allowing international investigators complete access to the site.
Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte said Putin had “one last chance to show he means to help”. A majority of the victims of the MH17 flight were nationals of Holland.
