President of Sri Lanka vows to increase state security

Maithripala Sirisena, President of Sri Lanka, took a vow to overhaul the security of the country. Several bomb blasts, which set off across the country on Sunday, reportedly wounded 500 and killed 321 people, including tourists l from abroad. Sirisena has announced many changes to the higher authorities of defence forces, within the span of last 24 hours. He also stated that threat reports were not shared by the officials with him, and promised to take a “stern action” towards them. PM Ranil Wickremesinghe, in one of his statements, quoted that the dreaded terrorist group of Islamic state (IS) might be linked to the blasts.
