Pope Francis Urges Catholic Christians to Feel Plight of Millions of Migrants

  • Pope Francis, during Christmas Eve Mass, addressed the plight of migrants by comparing them to them to Mary and Joseph, who travelled from Nazareth to Bethlehem but didn’t find any place for staying. He also urged Roman Catholics to feel the plight of millions of migrants who were driven out from their own land. 81-year-old Argentine pontiff underlined defence of migrants as main theme of his papacy. 81 year old Pope Francis, grandson of an Italian migrant himself, told worshippers on Sunday evening in the Vatican City’s St Peter's Basilica that their faith demanded welcoming of the foreigners. He is scheduled to address traditional "Urbi et Orbi" during Christmas on Monday.
