Pompeo Announces $113 Million US Investment

A $113 million US investment has been announced by the Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in the Indo-Pacific region. It also includes $50 million for energy projects, 25 million to promote digital connectivity and $30 million for infrastructure. He emphasized the commitment of the US to the region and the principles of openness and freedom.
Pompeo stated that “With American companies, citizens around the world know that what you see is what you get: honest contracts, honest terms, and no need for off-the-books mischief. For us the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act is not just a law — it is a point of pride. Integrity in businesses practices is an essential pillar of our Indo-Pacific economic vision.”
