Police raids Bitcoin founder's Sydney home
December 9 , 2015
Australian police have raided Craig Steven Wright's home and office in Sydney. As per media reports, technology websites have named Wright as the creator of virtual currency Bitcoin. However, federal police said that the raid was about tax and not Bitcoin. Wright is said to have a million Bitcoin, which are worth around $400 million at the current exchange rate. The raid came after Gizmodo and Wired said that probably Wright was "Satoshi Nakamoto", a pseudonym used by the creator of Bitcoin.
