Pimping trial: Former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn acquitted

  • A court in France has cleared former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn of “aggravated pimping”.

According to the judges, Strauss-Kahn, who was once considered a possible candidate for the French presidency, did not promote or profit from prostitution.

He did not instigate the orgies with the prostitutes, the judges said.

Lawyer Henri Leclerc said that the case against his client, Strauss-Kahn, was “totally empty”, and the investigating officials had launched a moral crusade that stood on very shaky legal grounds.
