People Choose to Stay at Home Despite Florence Warnings

  • An evacuation warning is issued to more than a million people following the Hurricane Florence in mid-Atlantic states and various parts of Carolinas. However, people still have a choice, either to stay home or evacuate and brave the heavy traffic. Many residents have decided to stay at home in Virginia, North and South Carolina. Stormy winds are expected to reach the coasts of Carolinas on the morning of Thursday. And hurricane-force winds are anticipated earlier on Thursday night, rather than Friday morning.

Florence is being considered one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the region in decades.
