Parrot helps catch man's murderer

  • Perhaps parrots should be called man's best friend. One of them reportedly helped detectives reach his owner's murderer.

Neelam Sharma was found dead along with her dog in Agra, India and her parrot had a clue to offer to the investigators. The bird was quiet until Sharma's nephew Ashutosh Goswani came to the residence. Sharma's husband mentioned that Goswami's presence or even his name caused the parrot to shriek and flap around its cage.

"We checked his cell details and took him custody," police said. Reports suggest that Goswami committed the murder in order to protect his identity and killed the dog since he wouldn't stop barking.
