Pakistan protesters close in on Parliament

It has been reported that around 50,000 protesters, demanding the resignation of the Nawaz Sharif government, have moved close to the Parliament in Pakistan as the stand-off between the government and demonstrators continues.
Troops took position to protect the Parliament.
There are two groups of marchers — one led by the former cricket star and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Imran Khan; and the other by a cleric Tahir-ul-Qadri. But as they converged in the heart of capital Islamabad, they seemed to have joined forces.
