Pakistan police arrest suspected 'facilitators' of Peshawar school attack

  • Pakistan police have arrested several people for suspected involvement in Peshawar school attack that led to the death of 132 children. According to the Pakistan's interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, the arrested people were "facilitators" in the attack. The intelligence inputs received from across the country suggest that another sinister attack is on the agenda of the militants. Earlier, the Taliban had claimed responsibility of the attack and said that it was an act of revenge against the army offensive in the north-western region. Following the inhuman attack, the Pakistani government lifted a ban on the use of death penalty and executed six men since then.
