Object of Interest found in case of missing jet
April 24 , 2014
An "object of interest" has been discovered in southwestern Australia, which could lead officials to finding the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. "It's sufficiently interesting for us to take a look at the photographs," an official said. However, he mentioned that further analyzing it continues to disappoint them.
The size of the object is not clear through the photographs but it appears to be rectangular in shape. The Bluefin-21 robot has, on the other hand, hasn't found anything after its planned search.
"The next phase, I think, is that we step up with potentially a more powerful, more capable, side-scan sonar to do deeper water," Australia's defense minister said.
