Nuclear talks: World powers, Iran extend deadline

  • The nuclear negotiations between world powers and Iran are due to continue for another day after the Tuesday deadline ended, American officials said.

“Enough progress” has been made, according to the US state department. However, officials warned that several “difficult issues” remained.

Indicating that the talks would continue, Iranian official Hamid Baidinejad said they were “not watching the clock.”

The six world powers, including the US and Russia, seek to limit the Iranian nuclear program and are offering Iran a gradual easing of sanctions in return.
