North Korea's attempts jamming the GPS signals of South Korea
April 2 , 2016
A few hours after South Korea, US and Japanese leaders pledged a co-operative action to prevent North Korea’s advancing nuclear and missile programme, North Korea fired a short-range missile into the sea in an effort to jam the South Korean GPS signals. The missile however did not cause any harm to the south korean military, aviation and telecommunication systems but more than 130 fishing boats reportedly had some problem with their navigation system and most of them were forced to return to their port. This is considered as an attempt to threaten public safety and military operation by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of South Korea.
