North Korea-South Korea Jointly Sign Declaration to Make Korean Peninsula Nuclear-Free

  • North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in have jointly signed a declaration affirming their shared objective to achieve “a nuclear-free Korean peninsula through complete denuclearization”. The document also emphasized on ushering in of a new age of peace with the assurance that “there will be no more war on the Korean peninsula”. The two countries also agreed to involve the US and China during discussion on absolute denuclearization and lasting peace. The US President Donald Trump is all set to meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un by the end of May 2018.
