North Korea launches another ballistic missile across Japan

Early on Friday, North Korea fired a ballistic missile from Pyongyang across Japan's northern Hokkaido into the Pacific Ocean. Pertaining to this launch, Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said, “Japan protests the latest launch in the strongest terms and will take appropriate and timely action at the United Nations and elsewhere.” North Korea's missile launch across Japan, comes a day after it threatened to sink the country and turn the US into 'ashes and darkness'. South Korea's Yonhap News Agency, quoted a military official as saying the missile likely reached an altitude of 770km and flew a distance of 3700km- before landing in the sea of Hokkaido. This recent missile launch by North Korea drew International criticism amidst heightened regional tensions.
