North Korea is firing anti-ship missiles: South Korea

  • The army of South Korea has stated that North Korea has fired anti-ship missiles off its eastern coast. According to the authorities the weapons were launched in the wee hours of June 8 close to the city of Wonsan. They are apparently surface-to-ship missiles that operate over the short range. They covered a distance of around 200 km or 125 miles before landing in the water. North Korea has been repeatedly testing ballistic missiles this year but without any success.
