March 6 , 2017
As per reports, four ballistic missiles have been launched by North Korea towards the Sea of Japan. Fired from the Tongchang-ri region, three of the missiles fell into the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of Japan after flying around 620 miles. The type of the missiles is still not clear.
The launches at 07:36 local time Monday (22:36 GMT Sunday) were the latest in the series of North Korean missile technology tests.
Though North Korea has repeatedly claimed its space programme is peaceful but it has become a cause of concern for the Japanese officials.
Reports say that to dissuade satellite surveillance, screens have been set up in all the important areas of the site.
