North Korea executed vice-premier for disagreement over forestation policy

  • The government of South Korea has said that it is monitoring reports about the killing of Choe Yong-gon, North Korea’s vice-premier. According to the South Korean media, the vice-premier was exected in May on the orders of Kim Jong-un after he expressed discomfort against the young leader's forestation policy. The South Korea’s unification ministry said that Choe was publicly last seen in December.
